The competition is all about creating graphics with a little help of certain Photoshop brushes (no need to use Photoshop though, you can convert brushes to png with abr viewer and make your graphic in any application).
The idea is to express yourself, your thoughts, emotions or you can just make a banner for your site or business. You can make a graphics for mug, or t-shirt or apparel. Sticker for your car, or your motorcycle and bicycle helmet. Whatever you find interesting, possibilities are unlimited. Whatever it is – we want to see it :)

I'm new to digital scrapbooking, having found Heritage Makers (www.ipreservelegacies.com). I'm excited to learn from others as I work on my storybooks!
I have some coupon codes for 30 page photobooks if anyone can use them. I'll post them and if once you use one, just let me know and I will remove it from the list. (They are one-time use codes)
The kit is from DigiScrap Depot, designer's name is Angelique
I finally got around to doing a scrapbook page about Steve Irwin. I've been thinking about it for ages, and have had a half-finished paper version lying around for months now. Well, I finally got round to doing it, albeit digitally instead of on paper.
Just thought I'd share.
The journaling says: 'Steve Irwin wasn't your typical celebrity. He was different. Real. Honest. He made a difference. Everything he did was a fight on behalf of those who couldn't speak for themselves. He was brave, courageous and inspiring. Sure, we had a giggle at his 'Crikey, she's a beaut' accent...but we admired the hell out of him. Here's to you, Steve. Long may your legacy live in on in the hearts of all who you inspired.'
The pictures, title and signature are from his website (www.crocodilehunter.com), and no, I didn't have permission to use them. I'm hoping no one will mind, since it's just for my own personal scrapbook.
I started off with a template by Michi (fuchur74.blogspot.com
although I made lots of changes to it - still worth acknowledging.
The font is Angelica.
I used Adobe Photoshop.

I'm making a scrapbook for our family! Instead of a normal one with just pictures and journal entries, I'm making it a multi-use book by centering the theme around family recipes. Here's the first page I made!
To explain the stuff in the little boxes:
Although my Grandmother (who spells her name "Granma", NOT "Grandma") likes to cook, she's... well. Let's just say she's not famous for foods in a good way. She does, however, have an unbelievable green thumb. That said, on any of the veggie pages, I'm going to include a "Granma: Garden Guru" area to give her personal gardening tips on the vegetable featured.
The other tidbit is for me. I love to cook and have a few recipes that have become famous within the family, but my love is really weird little kitchen gadgets. Throughout the book, there will be a few little tidbits about gadgets, like a Mandolin Slicer or Corn Stabbers, to help make cooking and eating easier. They are called "Steph's Tool Time Tidbit"s.( Darlene's Roasted CornCollapse )
